Board Guidelines
GPL Repository Guidelines
Note that these rules are subject to change at anytime,
please visit the 'News & Announcements' forum often. The GPL Repository is a
Community database and Community input is appreciated, if you think of any
important rules that you think should be added, please contact an Administrator.
When posting files,
please include the following information about the files you add to the Repository.
Author: Your name !
Format: File type, i.e; .Psd, Jpg.
Dimensions; Image size, i.e; 256x256
Credit: State if you would like credit (or not ) for your work
If at all possible, we would prefer multiple posts in the different threads for the
seperate items according to the forum title.
We're sure we are going to be dealing with a lot of cross-editing. I.E. textures
made by one author, and used on a 3do that was made by another Author,
that was tweaked by another author, and so on and so forth.
Please state all names of the Authors whos work is contained in your contribution.
Please remember to give credit where credit is due.
If you are tweaking the work of someone else, please have the courtesy of stating,
with your upload, who the original author was. It is recommended that you have
the original Authors consent/permission before posting their files.
A format such as:
Textures.....Author
3do.............Author
Of course, with all the textures/3do's now in the 450+ tracks, this will be almost
impossible to police, fully. One of the best ways to police this is to let you,
the members, do most of it. We can only do so much, so we have to rely on the
members and authors. It already lies on your shoulders, so it's best to keep it that way.
The GPL Repository is solely a way for members to build a central database
to share their files easily.
If you happen to see work that was created by yourself, or by someone other than
stated on the posting, please inform one of the staff. We will see that you or the
appropiate person gets the proper credit.
Consider ALL files/addons, be they pictures, tracks, cars, mods, horizons or any modification
posted in this forum, to be pure fantasy. They are not to be considered historical or
realistic in any way or manner unless specifically described or stated as such in the readme
or thread/post. There may be certain consideration of posts within a thread but these
should be treated individually and not part of the whole thread and so the inverse will be valid as well.
When reviewing/using any files in this forum the onus is solely on the user whether to consider/verify
if the files are to be anything other than pure fantasy and not of the maker/artist.
Last but not least: We know you will try to make sure items are posted in the right
place but please don't be offended if the GPLR staff move threads or attachments.
Thanks & Enjoy!
The GPL Repository Staff Crew...
