After editing a 3DO to make adjustments in vertex and face locations, is there a tool / method to go from a 3DO to a TRK or some such that can be re-compiled? Despite its name, TRK23DO does NOT have that function.
-or-
Would a 3DO edited by hand and converted back to a GTK/TRK cause TRK23DOZ to crash?
I tried Dave Noonan's old '3DOEditor" but that just corrupts the files.
The alternative would be to just leave the TRK slightly different from the 3DO - but that's not ideal.

Migrating from 3DO to GTK (or TRK)

Is not possible to convert a 3do to GTK.
I frequently do 2 different GTKs; one for the 3DO ( usually with more walls) and one for the TRK (simpler and with thicker vertical walls). There is nothing bad doing so apart the extra work

Done these tracks and working on others.

ahh... thanks for clarifying. So therefore, anything done in say 3DSMax or ACAD is going to be strictly graphic in nature and will have no effect on the physics. that's a bummer, but understandable.

Well, you can add collision to the 3do's so you can bump into them

true - however i was thinking track scale & not TSO scale
