ginetto or Rob (or anyone else), would you kindly assist in adding an object to a version of Goodwood?  It is still the original GPLEA track but with some edits to both the goodwood.3do and goodwood.trk files.

Here is the Goodwood track WIP (work in progress) at Post #96 of my Forum -  http://gplr.srmz.net...=75#entry102325

In the goodwood.3do I replaced many mips with other mip names, deleted some objects and moved some objects.

In the goodwood.trk I changed the sand traps to grass and also changed some white lines to grass/asphalt.  Even though I removed the pit wall, I left the collision wall there.
This was in preparation for adding the pit armco there as a new object.  I don't know if that is the best method.  The armco 3do that I have for the pit armco is double-sided - so there are two different textures on each side.  It does not have collision.  Maybe the best route is to add collision to this armco 3do file and then remove the collision 'wall' in the goodwood.trk file.

So, if someone would add this armco_p.3do with textures armcopit and armcobck.mip to the grass strip between the pit lane and the track .... that would be cool.  :)

Here are some photos to show that the placement of the armco is nearer to the track than the pit lane - on the grass.

Is there a center line for this track already?
If not, Rob is the only one that can produce it.

Fisrt alternative is to use Stefano's tool with which he can do miracles, I basically nothing...
Second alternative is to make build files from scratch for the whole track, pretty annoying job. :)

Done these tracks and working on others.

Yes it will do!

He can add a "simple" 3do cuboid to be the new barrier as a new object with collision without needing to recompile the track by recreating the build files to create/change walls. It should be a lot easier this way I would hope.

I forget where we were discussing it, but I vaguely remember a Goodwood version, perhaps for 55(?) where there was just grass between the pits and the track surface. If that already exists then that would be the easiest one to add the new single tier armco barrier to. From memory the default GPLEA version has the modern brick built pit wall which would otherwise need to get removed first.

Hi Rob!  Thanks for taking a look.  :)

"...just grass between the pits and the track surface."  Yes, that is the way I have goodwood right now, so there is no 'hole' there where the brick wall was graphically removed..  I also left the 'collision wall' there in the goodwood.trk file.  That I can remove if we have collision in the new object.

See the hot link in Post #1 that takes you to my Forum with the Complete track as it is a WIP.  :)

  Rob.

You did notice the armco_p.3do and the two textures for this two-sided 3do - They are in Post #1 here.
