What do you mean, everything works as advertised here.
The track has huge gaps in both TRK and 3DO though.

Done these tracks and working on others.

ginetto, would you make a port-trk.gtk for it?

While we are talking about the track SabreTeam Portland (port) .... I have it installed, but iGOR does not let me join on the -oAo- server.
It is in my Can-Am '66 install along with the riside66 track which does let me join on the Hauls1 server.

The OAO is running six post-season CanAm66 races to keep members active.  First on the list is Portland(port)due to come off this Saturday, December 8.  Their server is currently making it available for pre-race testing which Greg is referring to above.  I've yet to try it online but have logged about 40 laps offline in trials.  No problems as of yet.  Have I been lucky?  Is this online affair likely to end up as a nightmare?

Edit: Some time later...

I just ran off 3usg's worth of race time on the OAO server featuring Portland.  No problems.  Fingers X'd!

Ginetto...  May I have your permission to pass the revised 'port' files off to the OAO membership?  The scheduled race in CanAm66er's is this Saturday, 11:00 EST.

BTW, I just tried them.  No problems(wan't expecting any from the maestro).

What "revised" port files are you talking about?  :)

ginetto, as you mentioned, the port.trk file has some huge gaps and orientation mis-matches.  I am able to adjust all of the longitudinal gaps to be 0 or -1.  But, how do I get the orientation to line up with such large errors???  :(

Btw, I have been working on Portland (port) get it looking a bit better with details of the 1960s.  I was hoping to use the port-trk.gtk to adjust some of the walls to have a more tire-barrier collision effect.  But, with the bad orientation of the track sections, I may as well stop thinking about releasing this as an update.

You need to half ( /2 )the orientation mismatch (respect the - or +) at the end and then add (+) it to a curved section before.
Doing so is possible that the track will mis-align between graphics and physics so I don't know if it's the case to proceed or not; see how much will be the gap. :)

With such very large physics (trk) mismatches, to re-align the graphics (3do) would it require re-compiling after fixing the graphics alignment issues ???

Yes since if there are gaps in the 3DO, can bring to CTD or freezes (I don't remember which one of the 2 now...)

Just wondering.  Is the track 'port' on the Black List for questionable online usage?

Hate to pressure you, Ginetto, but I won't post the revised 'port' files to the OAO membership til I get your OK.  Race goes off in about 18 hours from now.

The files in ginetto's Post #6 above ARE NOT UPDATES for the track 'port'.  They DO NOT FIX the port track gaps and orientation mismatches.

They are files for my work with updating the Portland track.  I have just release an update for 'port' at SRMZ.  :)

Yes, Greg.  Thanks for that and I've already picked up your files over at the SRMZ.  Nice work.

I realize, too, that the gtk file was included in Ginetto's upload in post #6 and most probably, should not be made available to the general membership.  I will not pass on either from his post.

Thanks, again...

There is perhaps one or two things to touched-up, like the walls for exemple, but otherwise, thanks a lot Greg !
Another track which needed to be updated is progressing thanks to you !

It's weird, I tried to find some video from the 70's, and result : nada !
The more ancient video I've found is from 1995...

Greg, your screenshots of your release thread at SRMZ http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=12585
are named "Goodwd65_0001" - "Goodwd65_0006". ;)

And maybe you could add a link to the track to the GPLTD:
http://gpltd.bcsims.com/?sbtd=port
Makes it quicker to find.
