Hi all.
Trying to get me head around HSV.

Phil says

Are there always 16 triples for each track section or does it depend on the amount of traces the track has ?

For every trace in a section there are 3 values:

H ue of the color (check in a photo editor to choose)
S aturation of the color used
V olume(?) lower the number, the darker it is (255 is totally transparent 0 is total black)

I use an excel file, so I know exactly what I'm doing

I think I understand the values OK but the amount of triples per track section is still confusing me.
I see you have 16 sets so does your track have 16 traces ?

If I had 10 traces for instance, I would only need 10 sets of triples ?

I use a spreadsheet like this as well. Once you've got your head around it, it becomes quite addictive. Some subtle shading here and there really makes a difference.

IIRC if you use 10 traces you still need to have 16 triplets on every section; only the first 10 will be used, the other 6 will be all zeroes.
If you don't have 16 triplets, the program will consider the first of the second section as the 11th of the first.
Right of the driving direction is always 0

I too use an excel sheet; mark the 2 that contains the asphalt with different colors. Traces not used will stay light blue.
