In the goodwood.3do I replaced many mips with other mip names, deleted some objects and moved some objects.
In the goodwood.trk I changed the sand traps to grass and also changed some white lines to grass/asphalt. Even though I removed the pit wall, I left the collision wall there.
This was in preparation for adding the pit armco there as a new object. I don't know if that is the best method. The armco 3do that I have for the pit armco is double-sided - so there are two different textures on each side. It does not have collision. Maybe the best route is to add collision to this armco 3do file and then remove the collision 'wall' in the goodwood.trk file.
So, if someone would add this armco_p.3do with textures armcopit and armcobck.mip to the grass strip between the pit lane and the track .... that would be cool.

Here are some photos to show that the placement of the armco is nearer to the track than the pit lane - on the grass.
